SK, and you others, what's your take on this? Is McD representing you appropriately, or do you take issue with being categorized in this way?

An authentic asian friend of mine was asked, how come you guys always RItE iN tHiS fAsHion~~***LOL OREO
And he said "It's an asian thing"
I find it hard to believe that the monolith corps have brought down a racial "category" to aol standards.. And yet most asians I know seem content about their own ways of style.. and I know MANY asian friends.

Being proud of your heritage I have no problem with, being associated with McDonalds on the otherhand...it's like they're trying to piggy back the advertising.

! they're basically generalizing us as an entirety, affiliated with mcdonalds. i for one, prefer burgerking. i think that's kinda sad that they brought a racial category for an advertisement. that's low.

Believe it or not, I went to that website awhile back because I wanted to register it when Molson's had their "I AM CANADIAN" ad campaign. I thought it was just stupid, but I really didn't take offense to it. All it was was a couple pics of stupid looking asian people eating McD's... I actually laughed when I saw the fat hick asian with the guitar. Besides the annoying music, the stereotyped "I R L33t AznQTBoiTaLk", I actually found all the information on asian heritage informational, and actually kind of interesting. They split it up into the major asian groups, and differentiated people who made a difference as well as specific holidays for each group. They didn't clump Koreans with Chinese, or Vietnamese with Camodians, so it looks like they put a lot of work into this. The annoying music and retarded pictures do take away from it though...
