Since you guys were so good at helping me with KotOR, I'm gonna ask NWN questions now! Yay!

Only one I have now is "where the hell do you identify objects???"

If you<re a mage/cleric class, you can ID it yourself with the spell/skill (can't remember).

Thri or Spurty are pro's about NWN tho!

I see that there's a skill, but I don't want to points into it....

Waste of time, when you get 10 points into 'Lore' you get free identifies.

I'll be getting back into NWN when my CoH expires by the way

You can go to any merchant and get it ID'ed for 100gp

Where is the eye? Do I examine the item while at a merchant?

Maybe I should put five points into Lore, then buy the Lore +5 ring I saw...

Right click on the item, then look for the eye icon for examine (I believe it's the 12 o'clock/North direction).

When you're at a merchant, the item description window will also display "Identify" next to Cancel.

Okay, I found it. At 100 GP each, I don't think I will be investing in Lore. It'd rather put it into something that'll keep me alive....

I do the same thing Uthor with my non-magical characters. No reason to get Lore except at low levels when you can't afford 100 gold and those early skills are the most important so I just hold onto items until I get the money. One bit of advice though is to save before identifing items. Reason for this is not because the item could change, but because you get more money for unidentified cursed items. Cursed items lose value when identified.

New one:
I lost my henchman! He died in a battle (again), I killed the guy who killed him (a more difficult opponent), I saved, I went to plunder my spoils, I found a trapped box, I saved in a new spot, I opened the box, I went back to the temple (of Tyr?) to retreive the henchman, and he's not there.

I tried both of the recent saves after he died. I tried walking back to the battle to see if he was on the way somewhere. If a henchman dies often enough, does he die permanently? Also, the journal says that he has died, he's waiting at the nearest temple, and my teleportation stone will take me straight there.

I also had that same problem. Try going to where you got him in the 1st place maybe? I never could figure out how to fix that.

Sorry, but this never happened to me, so I have no clue. Have you tried the bioware forums? Try this one

New question:

How do you prevent fear? I'm up against two dragons, and I get frightened almost before I can cast any spells. I'm a cleric, so if there's a spell I can use, that'd be great, but I didn't see one. Are there items I can buy?

There are some spells and scrolls for preventing Fear, as well as some items. Or, get magical items that boost your Will score for the saving throw.

Protection against evil would work no?

Same question and many great solutions. Among them Prot from Evil/Good.

Note that not all items can be identified via a spell. You MUST take them to be identified at times.

Many things in the game (DND) remind you that even if you are 20th+ level, you can still wet your pants (fear for example) or be held / slept etc

I've just gotten over my Age of Empires III kick. If you want to do some NWN let me know.

Wednesdays or Thursdays are best for me

Well, I used protection from evil and ramped up my saving throw and that worked. Weird thing is that my companion still got scared almost every time I went in there. I ended up beating NWN and installed Shadows..., but then realized I can't open my saved games to keep my character, so I need to uninstall, reinstall NWN, backup my character, install Shadows..., then give it a go. Fun!

Spurty, a couple things are keeping me from doing that. One, this is my friend's game and he's into the multiplayer (but is into another game for the moment), so I don't want to log in using his CD keys for fear of messing something up. Two, I'm usually in bed real early (~6pm), so that'd only leave a short amount of time to play.

I meant during the day as I work from home those days and often I'm sat waiting for an e-mail to get to me (which can take up to 72 hours some weeks cause the people who feed me work are very busy with a release due next 15 days).
