im sure that ill have to "Trim" down the price. its steep. about $2,000 (just under). he said money is no issue. and this is not a super expensive machine, but it has good stuff on it.
What are your opinions and suggestions. Please no "Nice" posts... as it will just clutter this (i will delete them) :) thanks.

EXACTLY, Blue. You want faster memory so you can overclock better. That's the whole idea. Surely your uncle wants to overclock it?

if he did, he'd expect me to do it.
id rather run it out of the box ready to go as is no issues.
anyway, you can put a stick of 433 in a 400 board and it will run? it hought it wouldnt.... hm... educate me please.

yea it will run at ddr400 but its gives you overclocking headroom. not worth the 80 dollars if you're not goina overclock.

The heat sink seems a little wimpy, and I'm not sure why you have both a DVD burner and a DVD rom. You know the burner reads disks too, right? :P

Ya if you dont plan to OC just get the PC-3200 version of the Mushkin.
Also, dont get him the Lite-On DVD Burner. Get him the NEC 2510A. It is the berst dual layer 8x burner out there right now.

Asus sucks balls. Go with MSI or Abit; Mushkin 2-2-2 Special for RAM. It's expensive though like OMG. Zalman makes really good heatsinks but they are really heavy so you need to be careful when moving your PC. Also, if you're going to bother with Raptors, buy 2 37GB ones and run them in RAID. :~O
By the way, that case is ooglay.
In other news, I RAPE FACES.

To be honest, i have no thoughts about your machine.

my uncle is simple.
i dont want to teach him how to copy a disc. its easier to tell him put disc to copy here, put source there.
Blam, done.
for 39.00 too its easy.
