I've been doing some free hand sketches lately, just doodles in class. Mostly related to my Loki and Nathan characters from the comic, since WANG IS TOO BUSY WITH SCHOOL. :/

Here's my latest sketches:

Original concept comic for This Space Reserved:

Part of the Story board for Comic #4, some effort on my part:

Part of the Story board for Comic #5 ... But Incredibly rough, I put no effort into this, basic outlines:

I'm so mad at hands. I can't ****ing draw hands. I've finally started to get feet/shoes look decent, but hands are completely outside of my grasp.

Looks great.

I say substitute hands for WMD or claws.

Think of hands as a maple leaf, I know this sounds odd, but its what made me learn to draw them. One major portion is the thumb, the next major portion is the index and middle finger, and the last portion is the ring and pinky. If doing comics with only 4 fingers, make the pinky missing. I will post an example if I get around to it. Also, if you get the chance look at a picture of the bones in the hand, then the muscles. If you understand what is under the skin you have a better chance of drawing it correctly. Just keep working at it. It takes alot of practice to get good at drawing/painting/ whatever art you are doing. I can't tell you how long it took me to learn how to weld properly and bend metal correctly.

Hands were never a problem for me, but faces were. For some reason I could never draw a female face, well one that I liked. I would draw a nice body and just leave the face blank because I wouldn't like the end product. Maybe that's why I stopped drawing altogether.
