Retail? GBP $45.99 ~ US $70

My sole reason for getting this? The extended cut of Matrix Reloaded (55 mins of footage taken from "Enter the Matrix" video game and put back into the movie into chronological form. It's all of the scenes with Ghost and Niobe, and having beat the game, they're GOOD scenes which add to the overall value of the movie. They explain why the Merovingian has monsters and vampires and expand on the keymaker a bit more. Defintiely worth the whole set. I just hope I can ebay my matrix collection in the mean time...

Worst movies ever. First one was kinda cool, then it turned into useless.

Agreed. First one was awesome, something new, something not done. The second one was okay, but not even half as good as the first, and the third was complete shit. Neo is Jesus btw.

I actually liked #2 and #3 more than #1. The way I see it is this. The Wachowski brothers wanted to make a movie and tell a story. They wrote this story but the only way they could sell it was to push all the action and "hook" material into the first one. But the main story and character development and the theological issues they wanted to discuss were all in the 2nd and 3rd movie because that's what they could get away with. So if you feel cheated, you were. The first movie was never their intent for the feel or message they wanted to portray. Please remember that all three were written as one story at the same time (including the 2nd and 3rd).

Character development? The star of the movie was Keanu Reeves for christs sake.

Their intent was to make a three movie saga, with the first movie containing a lot of action as a hook aloowing a trilogy to be made. They got an awesome action movie who's story fell apart near the end, a movie with decent action and a non-sensical story and terrible dialog, and a movie I still haven't seen cause I got better things to do.
