Ok. Wow. Where to begin...

This game is simply stunning. I mean, almost to the level as to make me forget HL2 for several months and buy it whenever I just happen to remember. Its developed by NovaLogic, a good solid company with a lot of great games behind them, though they tend to usually mess one detail up that keeps them from being super big. I've loved a lot of their games, but they always seem to screw up on replay value (Too short a single player game, or not enough paths/choices in stories) or multiplayer. Well. They've corrected both of these. #1) There is no single player. #2) OMG TEH MULTIPLAYER

This game is entirely multiplayer. The closest thing that comes to mind that people might be able to assocate: Take a BF:V style of gameplay, with fairly realistic vehicals and soldier classes in a Indonesian theathe of operation, increase the max players of a server to 150, optimize the code WONDERFULLY, and give it graphics on par with the screen shots I've seen of Farcry and HL2.

The attention to detail in this game is amazing. The game is nearly photo realistic in some aspects. Water is amazingly well done. The levels are huge.. Most maps your spawn point is a full kilometer from the map objective. The range of vehicals is smaller than a Battlefield game, but more emphasis is placed on the players not tanks. Helicopters are awesome. Boats are awesome. Everything is awesome.

The levels are 'infinite' .. If you go out to where the map technically ends, it loops the terrain. It really serves no purpose to go further out, but if you wanted to, you could. I drove a boat up a small stream that repeated.. I got 5KM away from the objective before I decided to drown myself and respawn.

Let me underscore something for you: The first 30 minutes of gameplay, I didn't kill a single person, even though I was on a full 80 player server. I was too busy just walking around looking at stuff and swimming around. This game is beautiful.

On top of that.. Although I recently replaced my motherboard, ram, and CPU, I didn't expect the level of performance I got in this game. The game analysizes your hardware on first-run, and will set you up with what it considers "Best Performance" and also save a profile for your "Best Quality" ... It gave my Athlon 2500 Barton (OC'c to 2300mhz), 1gig of PC-3500, and GF3 a "Best Performance" profile of all Normal detail levels and 1024x768. That's way higher than I can play any BF games at, or could under my old PC anyways. For quality settings, it gives me 1280x960 and all High detail levels. I left on performance. I did not have ANY graphical slow downs. Despite the huge size of the levels, I had better performance than I do in Counter-strike.

GO BUY THIS GAME. As soon as there is a dedicated server, I WILL be hosting this as part of GameHavoc. You can find it at Best Buy for $40, and I've seen less than that on amazon.

I forgot one thing to go into:

Realism of weapons. This game takes everything into consideration. Ranged scopes and stuff have elevation settings to adjust for bullet drop.. That's right, over a long distance, your bullets will drop lower due to gravity just like in real life. Detail detail detail. This game is awesome.

You should see the grin on my face. Im glad to see others are finally realizing the splendor of this game. At first I had the exact reaction you did to the game. Then each day I played I found more things I love about the game. Hopefully tonight i wont get home too late (gotta fix some ladies computer), and ill play until bed time hehe.

oh ya EVERYONE GO OUT AND GET IT!!!!!

My god its pretty. The controls feel a little sluggish compared to say, Counter-strike. I think my mouse sensitivity is a little high, and I hate trying to use the mouse wheel to cycle weapons, but otherwise everything is awesome.

ill get it if we get a server or people find one server to play at and we can meet up or something. I hate randomly going on servers now.

ya Erad and I currently play on teh same server always. We have been using the GH Teamspeak. If more ppl get it we could form one hell of an assault team to take out bunkers. 2 medics, 1 rifleman, 1 Gunner giving cover from 100m-200m out, and 2 engineers (1 anti air, 1 anti-vehicle). With a team of six like that and utilizing the command system the game has integrated there is no stopping us :-).

Which server? I've been playing on what I presume at NovaLogic's own boxes, the ones with icons and numbers, such as Bunker Hill 1/2/3, etc.

I usually Join Hurricane 1/2. It all depends, we just hope on TS and decide from there. When i get home and after I install Windows (hopefully wont take too long) ill play.

I've been playin the demo for a couple days, and I love this game.

The first game I couldn't kill anyone, but after a couple games, that first kill is so rewarding. Only to get my head shot off by sniper.

I'm adding this game to my collection soon...

Negative, played Delta Force 1 hardcore for a while, then Delta Force II came out and it wasnt that good. The Black Hawk Down editions werent that decent either. NovaLogic is a great company lets hope they keep supporting the players with Joint Ops and let us have dedicated servers soon :-). Anyways great game, ill be on with MrErad, Blue-Sniper, and Ferret tonight. Join Teamspeak and get an idea of the carnage that takes place :-).

it was pure hunt and kill, i loved it. Large scale maps that supported a large number of players.

Not sure when/if I'll play tonight, got class. I might hop on around 8-9pm EST for a little. I mostly play on the Bunker servers, though I tried one of the ones running DM the other day, seemed kinda lame though, no direction to the game play.

I haven't played the AAS maps but a few times, but I love the TKOTH maps.

I love the AAS maps, pretty much what I play. TKOTH is fun too though. The TDM are stupid! hehe

The AAS servers seem to crash more often. And I never have more than a 30 ping to the 3 Bunker servers.

hmm thats weird, i usually play the AAS maps with 60-150 ppl. Last night we tried some UK servers based on the International Server list. They had good ping and stayed up too. I no longer play on Hurricane 1/2 because those servers crash often. I stick to clan run servers mostly now. Last night Blue, Erad, and I had to hold our own against a clan, glad to say we did pretty good. Now we just need to get some more ppl to join us and well have full squadrons. Talking about this game at work makes me wish I was home playing :-(, but for now I go and have lunch.

I see Erad's and my plan is going into action as planned, to convert everyone to Joint Ops. Next we plan to take over the world. Glad to see everyone is embracing this fun game.
