So how does it work if you only want to play good but fight the villans... you still have to buy CoV? Is it an expansion... or is it it's standalone with its own subscription... or is it an expansion if you already have a CoH subscription. I remember the devposts were debating all 3 pricing schemes.

Been debating on this. Have been playing CoH for the past year, love it. But don't really want another monthy fee game.

From what I understand SK they are basically committing suicide of sorts... CoV as far as we (Simu) can tell is going to be a stand alone game... I *think* they are then going to offer some sort of expansion or special account that will "bridge" the games and allow PvP between them... Again I'm going off 2nd half information from what is supposedly flying around the rumor mills among game devs.

Having just bought a new WoW account, as much as I'm intrigued by CoV, I won't be getting it for at least 6 months.

One theory to back that up:
Without high level Villians, CoH vs. CoV = CoV getting the crap beaten out of it.

Level 50 heroes vs. level 10 villian groups.

from my understanding the new servers will be the CoH and CoV accessible.

So you buy CoV, create a new character via CoH if you want on the new server(s), and create a new CoV character. That way high lvl CoH characters cant wreck new CoV characters. Im sure all of this will be more clear once they announce the open beta start date.

Don't think so. A lot of people would be ticked if they couldn't use their existing heroes.

If anyone read the interview, the villains have 6 NEW zones of PVE fighting. There are then several bridged zones that are PVP environments.

It's all I remember from it, other than the Villain costumes looking hella cool.

I' m in the beta. Its NEW servers all around as far as I can tell.

Its kinda strange playing CoV. Majority of the first lot of mobs are from the prison you break out from.

After that, its random level heros who go about getting in your way terrorising the gimps on the street.

I'd be ordering this if it wasn't for the fact I need my wisdom teeth extracted and its going to cost about 2k as dental insurance isn't covering it as its not life threatening (GG, what is the point of the insurance then?)

Anyways, there are some new powers out there. Plant domain, Necro, Summoning powers and things that aren't in CoH. So far, I've no clue as to if its PvP or what as the test servers are only up from 7-9pm EST and thats if you are lucky enough to get on the server (totally over loaded).

Oh and I'd just like to add that a level 50 villian is going to be tons harder than a level 50 hero. I guess they expect more people to want to be good than bad.

How do I know this?

Heros have a Offense/Defense settings that are either HIGH/LOW, MED/MED or LOW/HIGH. Villians have HIGH/HIGH and MED/HIGH which means they will have more endurance and health than a like levelled hero.
