So I got on this evening making a very basic, small sale of Necromancer +15 DMG gloves to anyone coming out of presearing so as not to need materials. I notice this one moron selling Silver Dye for 25K when it's worth about 7k. So I tell him he won't be making much business when dye is sold for about 2k at Pilken. He gets mad and begins insulting me, calling me a newb. I ask why I'm a newb when HE's the one selling something at almost 4 times the value.

This is where it gets funny..

So he begins the ol' "I make lots of money and own a business" thing to sound older than he really is, talking about how he runs a business and makes 1k+ a week, not to mention he has lvl 18 and lvl 23 characters. So I tell him he's only proving my point further that he has no job, no woman, and spends all his time playing games. I tell him I'm engaged, have a job, and am new because I don't usually play RPGs...after I made fun of his stupidass saying I make kajillions per day! So he tells me "That's what I needed...I am now reporting you along with 30 other people you ripped off". Um...ok.

So I spent a good 5 minutes thinking "well, if he reports me, I have a chat log showing the moron began insulting me anyway", thinking I may have sworn in-game. I looked back in the log and didn't see me say anything wrong, until I noticed something which made me laugh out loud. The dumbass thought I was being serious about making kajillions, but to add to his stupidity, he thinks I meant in-game. The whole conversation through, the stupid ass was comparing my real life achievements to his online achievements! ROFL

"I run my own business! I make 1k+ a week!"

Sad.

Er, him not you. Honest. <.< >.>

But seriously, I don't know why people put so much pride in a MMORPG. Maybe if they put as much effort and enthusiasm in real life, they can boast, but to do the same in a game where it's all virtual, where a GM can just pop in and remove it all with no consequence, where WHEN they decide the shut the servers down, you've lost it all and for what?

I would have called him out on the having a level 23 character... the cap is 20.

EE, I've gotta say, I have to fault you at least a LITTLE for that exchange with the idiot... after all, you did chose to TALK to the idiot in the first place. I learned long ago, the more you ignore retards, the less they bother you.

Ever play Knights Online? People sell a lot of overpriced stuff. And, they usually randomly come up to you and go "SWIFT PLZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!11!!"

MMORPG's scare me.
