The 133/450/600mHz i'd just donate to a school or local old people's home. You could probably get a $500 writeoff on each one. As for selling them, I wouldn't pay more than $150 tops even for the 600mHz. As for the 1.4's you could probably get $200-$400 for them especially if you sold them for cash by public posting (grocery store, community college bulletin board, etc.).

Bullshit. You might be able to get $200 maximum, that is, if they're actually 1.4GHz (many people have the delusion that the XP Series' numbers somehow correspond with the processor speed, i.e. 1400 = 1.4GHz, when in reality, it doesn't).

The biggest incentive would definitely be a tax write-off. If you're a computer student, just screw around with the spare machines. Set up an Active Directory network at your home, or learn NFS/Samba stuff with those via your network.

EDIT: Didn't notice that darien posted this, so ignore the 2nd paragraph.

:( The 1.4 GHz machines cost over $800 to build just a few years ago. Thanks guys. Looks like I better find a hobbyist willing to pay extra for tried-and-tested Linux compatible servers built from scratch rather than taking a chance with random components found in pre-built machines.

The 1.4's are really the only thing off of that list that are worth anything... the system's saving graces is that they are pretty loaded on ram... most of the time, the older computers have nearly none, which limits their usefulness.

Your best bet like you said is to find someone who wants linux servers

One other thing you could try is configuring them as Asterix VOIP PBX'es and selling them as such, but then, you probably dont want to waste your time on servers you'll get only a pittance for anyway.

And about airwalks paragraphs:
If you're a computer student, just screw around with the spare machines. Set up an Active Directory network at your home, or learn NFS/Samba stuff with those via your network.

If your a university computer student, you can probably get your hands on PC's from University Surplus... plus, most university students i know are flat broke and dont have the cash to pick up extra PC's.
