Custom server Maps...

There are over 20 maps that are stock maps on here. We would love to see them be replaced by other maps. I know I don't have the whole list of the maps that are on cs2 but here is the list of what I know is on there and a few thoughts about them...

I can't remove those stock maps. STEAM puts them back everytime I delete them. I'll see about adding them to the "no nominate" list though.

I actually deleted the BSPs. Steam will redownload them though and it wouldn't be the best idea in the world to lock the map folder. Steam doesn't touch the maplist.

lol, well for the good of the server and the community I guess I can stand it. But I honestly hate VIP maps. I think we need to add duke2k to that list, you can get it at the same site that I put at the bottom of my first post. I'm open to some fun maps as well. Just I hate to see that ppl vote in stock maps on a custom map server. It kind of defeats the prepose of having a custom map server, you know?

Hey, I want you guys to let me know what maps you would like to see and I'll comply the ones that I've looked at with a few ppl here and we can make a vote on them and choice like the top 10 or so choices. I'll get see what ferret is willing to put on the costum map server and I'll batch them all up for him and we'll get them on a download basis for everyone here or visiting our server.

people dont want to play custom maps where you need strategies to win all the time. people wanna play quick fun maps where you just run around and shoot everyone you see. its more fun that way.

VIP maps are fun when you have a good team on the ct side.. or on tundra when you're the VIP, and you just rush straight thru the midde without your team and escape without one T spotting you :D

I'll be a twit for a minute here. In our CFGs, you can download_ingame 0 and cl_allowdownload 0. You couldn't do that for the server settings as well so as to not allow Steam to DL content to server?

It works for client, have no clue on server ops.

The steam update tool that does the downloading isn't actually part of the server, its a seperate application.
