The middle vertical line is slightly off.. Doesn't curve towards the left enough on the ball to complete the 3-D look. The top curve looks good though.

Not much I can do beyond spherize, sadly. :)

There's no way that you can mess with transform>perspective to fix that?
Or even use a smaller circle where the outer right edge cuts thorugh the middle of the basketball as a guide?
or is it even possible for you to recreate the lines in Illustrator then copy the paths over to PS so that you could have better control over the lines?
Other then that one line, the logo looks good. Flames could maybe use a little work.

The flames looked more like fire before... but the people the people that commissioned it asked for it to be better defined, a more solid red, etc etc... So, here it is as they've asked for it and approved.

Good stuff then, realistically, when it comes to comissioned work, the only opinion that matters is the one of the person who's paying for it.

I was disappointed they wanted it this way, but I thought it still looked cool. :)
the reasons is when it gets painted.
im working on a gym floor logo now.
the paint cant be sprayed that thing easily (low cost) and have it stick.
if you do, you need a special artist to come in and airbrush it.
the logo people prefer solid colors, its saves OODLES of money.
