CSS Community and Friends Night

In an effort to gather activity and regulars for the CSS server, we're going to be hosting a joint effort with the old MAWGWKCKA crew to begin scheduling a series of "Come and play" nights. The goal is two fold.. To get the server active, and to play with the MAWG guys and get to know them better. They may join with GameHavoc in the future if things go well and make the CSS server their home, much like FCS and Spurty's Pub joined up in the original formation of GameHavoc.

The date: June 13th (Monday)
The time: 8PM EST and onward into the night
The place: css.gamehavoc.com:27015 (70.84.137.107:27015)

The Noob-Strike guys are also invited, since n00B has graciously directed them to come play with us when he makes the switch from hosting CSS to Battlefield 2.

Please make an effort to show up if possible. We hope to get a good crowd in and have some fun, and repeat it every week.

Update: This was a major success. We started at 8PM, within 30 minutes it was almost full. When I got off at 11PM, it was still full and someone connected the second I left. I was watching that for the past hour.. Someone left, instantly some joined.

The next community night is planned for Monday the 20th. Same time and place, 8PM at css.gamehavoc.com ... However, anyone who wants to is welcome to try to join up EVERY night at 8pm.. Just jump on irc.gamesurge.net and #gamehavoc, and get your Xfire/AIM buddies, and fill it up.

weee... CSS love! i haven't played on GH in about a month now since I uninstalled 1.6, and nobody's ever on the source servers. That and WoW too so this will be awesome.

The name was just something to be stupid and make fun of clan names. Actual members include the not middle aged, non-white, college kids, and gasp a female (granted it was one of the members wife). The "middle aged" originally started when someone was reading a article about the "middle age" of all gamers (which was like 27 at the time).

i had fun last night except on inferno. why is that map so goddamn cramped? is it just me? i killed like 2 people. for some reason its hard as hell for me to kill people up close. but on bigger maps its easier to kill people.


i still dont know how inferno got to be such a cramped map. its not that its a small map its just cluttered as hell. too much crap everywhere, pillars here, fountains there, a little hallway with a kitchen? wtf.
