Pretty much, the only thing my character needs is a lot of iron, a little steel, and a little fur. And a lot of money.

What's the best way to go about this?

*Should I salvage everything, or just the things I can get things I need from them?

*Is there any point to identifying things before selling or salvaging them (other them to see if you want to use them, obviously)?

*The commodity merchants. I noticed they have a buy screen, but never want to buy anythng? Do they only buy in lots of ten? Do they give prices that make it worth accumulating ten of something you don't really use?

Fur is the rarest material in the game (and i need fkn 7 of them). You gotta use an expert salvage kit on hides and (i think) tanned squares.

Not sure if you have to id before hand, but you probablyh should.

They buy in lots of 10. The rarer the material, the more $$ they give for them (with common materials, selling is far lower than buying).

Once you get into the higher levels, you accumulate money a lot quicker. I remember checking my money, which was around 12k - beating two missions and being at 17k.

Tanned Hide Sqaures are a common material, you can't salvage them anymore.

If you're looking for materials, salvage everything that would produce what you need. Hammers, axes, and most shields (ie not bone shields) will produce iron. Bows produce wood. etc. etc.

Steel you can get from expert salvaging certain purple/blue/gold hammers or anything else that will give you iron.

In my experience... Axes give me wood (hehhe), hammers give me slate, shields give me iron or wood, depending on what kind of shield.

a lot of armor salvage items give hides and can potentially give fur. anything that gives you hides, can give you fur

How do you upgrades? Only one I've seen has been given to me.

you salvage them from blue/purple/gold salvage items

Haven't seen purple or gold salvage, just blue. I assume you have to use expert salvage kit?

Have tried expert on blue salvages, didn't get shit. :(

it's not 100% it's like 96%. i've lost a superior rune with the expert kit

the purple and gold stuff is rare, havent even SEEN a gold yet

i have 2 superior runes, and a bunch of major runes

My old hammer was gold, then I switched over to sword/shield.
