Everquest Lawsuit

A couple years back, a woman by the name of Elizabeth Woolley sued Sony/Everquest over her sons suicide.

Anyone know what the resolution of that was? Tried googling, could only find articles/discussion on it when it was filed.

She sued Everquest because her son killed himself? What in the hell?
It's like any other addiction," Elizabeth Woolley said last week. "Either you die, go insane or you quit. My son died.

The woman said it needs a warning label. I love the, "It's not my fault!" Decade, don't you guys?

It doesn't look like there was any lawsuit over this. She simply blames everquest and made her son's suicide very public.

Articles from the time (ie, 2002) says she was going to sue, came across those. Just wondering if she ever actually filed.

I think it's more a question of mental illness then stupidity, which is the problem/cause of most/all suicides really.

As the mom said herself, the guy long had emotional/mental problems.

From what I remember, I think the son played all the time in EQ, then when he was ripped off in a trade from a fellow guild member, he ended up in a state of depression and then ultimately committed suicide.

Mom should be going after the player(s), not Sony.

I still like the one about the GF of this MMORPG player getting arrested or fined for Deleting her BFs stuff.
