Anyone get into this? Wanting a fantasy/loot fix, but don't want another monthly game (play City of Heroes).

The concept of a non-monthly fee is nice, as is the graphics.

Interested in game play, character customization, etc.

WoW > GW imo

Yes, but GW has the nice benefit of not having a monthly fee. So for a casual / side game, that's nice.

I plan on getting it when I have the funds. and people who compare GW to WoW are idoits... that's like saying WoW satisfies your CS fix. They are totally different games. Only reason people make the comparison is because the devs are ex-blizz employees.

I did 2 of their world events and it was great fun, its a nice break from the grind that an MMO is and the PvP is well thought out and outstanding unlike WoW.

You ever tried Neverwinter Nights?

There are some very good perisistent Worlds out there. Once you own the game you are never bored

Have played through all the single player NWN. Tried a few multiplayer servers, wasn't greatly impressed.

Of course, I'm very, very interested in D&D Online.

But I'm looking at Guild Wars as a side game / break from CoH.

I plan on getting once I pay off my debt to parents. The only thing stopping me from WoW is the monthly fee. Hurray

update as of right now Im a lvl 5 necro/memsmer

Looking threw the GW forums it seems that you dont level past 20 (yet) but still get ability points to make ur spells the pwn. Also I guess there are TONS of missions (right now im on like 8-10 diffrent quests and none of them are the primary quest) and dont forget that GWs has live event streaming stuff that goes on.

Now if I could just form a party id be set...that or I could play PvP with out anything unlocked -_-
