grrr...

My nets all screwed up. Im getting random pop-ups from hell from outta no where. When ever I click on a DL link (like the steam skin that EE did) all I get is an error page and no DL for me. Now Im getting random words with green underlines that link to a search engine (well im assuming this is me, ive only seen this at GH so far)

can anyone point me at some free software?

rgr. looks you may have a spyware/adware as well. try running ad-aware and spybot - search & destroy.

Don't bother with ad-aware, Spybot will do it just fine. Half the time ad-aware will interfere with Spybot, and Spybot is completely free.

Last time I ran it on my brother's PC he had 300+ spy programs.

I ran an adaware and I got quite a bit of it.

A nice pop-up blocker would help too...yeay for google

I have Zone Alarm Pro. That in conjunction with AdAware and I have NO pop-ups AT ALL. The only time I get them now is when I run iMesh. Gotta love Gator 'eh?

I use eMule.. there's also winmx (which EE seems to like, but I don't), as well as kazaa lite which I used to use (if that still works).

kazaa is the one getting all the media attention, isn't it? what's eMule about?

ya limewire is old, and personally it sux compared to Shareaza....shareaza is open source and created by one dude. It has a bunch of security stuff and blocks a lot of ip address.

shareaza also uses the edonkey network, right?

PeregrineFalcon

ya it has capabilities to connect to a number of networks, edonkey being one of them.
