After reading the Rush thread, I was wondering, what are everybodies top 3 concerts seen and top 3 concerts you wish you could see.
I'll start.
Top 3 seen:
1) Andrew WK at the Bottom Lounge, Chicago-3 weeks ago (he knows how to get a croud going, smaller venue with cool "security" (were pulling people on stage after crowd surfing instead of kicking them out), kick-@$$, fun, energitic rock)
2) The Tossers at the Cowboy monkey in Champaign-1 year ago (one of my favorite bands, seen in a bar, front and center, rocked out for over 3 hours straight, had $1.50 Old Style to boot)
3) Against Me! at the Fireside Bowl in Chicago-1 year ago (great band to see live, sold out show, had Fifth Hour Hero open, unfortunately full of under-18-year-olds (as with all shows that the Fireside and all Against Me! shows)
Top 3 I Wish to see:
1) New Order (who doesn't want to see their favorite band live)
2) The Vindictives (another favorite band, unfortunatly they "broke up" after the death of a member, but reformed into a new band that will hopefulyl put on a couple shows...plus who doesn't want to see 40 year old punk rockers sing about mental illness?)
3) Detroit Cobras (cover band of old school R&B songs (from the 60's back) with an ex-stripper as the lead singer).
/edit: I forgot to put Pink Floyd on bands I wish to see. Though I don't like them as much as I used to (or I like them the same, but I like others a lot more), they'd still be a visual treat to see live.
I'll start.
