My current character is a Warrior with Blacksmithing and Mining and I am getting bored of him. I am thinking of once again starting a new character with mining and skinning (gonna try and make a fortune)

Hunter is my favorite class, followed by mage as a close second.

Yeah, I have a hunter on LS and enjoy it quite a bit, pet training is a bitch imo though.

Also debating trying to do enchant/tailoring no matter of the class

Go mage or warlock with Engineering.
However I have a lvl 41 Hutner and I have found once you hit 40, things change for the better for the hunter, I love my character alot more now then I ever did.
if in a guild, DO NOT DO ENCHANTING. You will be poor for a very long time. I am just starting to make some money. But its tough at times.

If you are going to play the game seriously at lvl 60, PRIEST is teh way to go. You will NEVER be left out of raids. Plus priests are WICKED fun, can tank a lot of mobs with there Shield :-)

Hunter w/ skinning/leatherworking...a good money maker for future alts. I plan on eventually having an enchanter, but not until I have a few high level alts to finance him. Plus once you have a pet you'll never want another char.
falc what is ur position on rogue, they are appealing to me because i dont raid that much, and the fact that they are invisiable with an advantage on a pvp server. i also like their speed and damage given.

I may not be Falcon, but I'll give you my 2cents on rogues.
For what you seem to want if for, I think you'll find the rogue a lot of fun.
you get goot dmg per sec, a stun ability, invis, you can unlock chests (which I'm sure can make you some cash) and you get to craft poisions in order to make your attacks that much better.
the only real drawback is that your stuck in leather the whole time
but for rogues some quests can be a little easier too due to invis and pickpocket
I'd say go for it, it would be a lot of fun.

When I make an alt I'll be a Gnome Warlock or a Dwarf Warrior.
The warlock cause they look so fun and the warrior cause I'm used to being tank-ish now.
I like my pally though so I won't play a serious alt until I hit the endgame.

Warlocks are absolutely amazing. I have a 60 Gnome Warlock, took advantage of that Gnome 5% Int boost, and it is great. No other class can solo Volchan except for warlock, they are able to solo lots of mobs in the game because of Fear and Curse of Doom.

Warlock it is. Also on another note for the LB people out there. I may have to move servers soon. Anymore I get such lag on that server that I dont on others it is unbelievable. I am debating moving to another lower populated server for places like IF and SW cause of the severe slowdown I get with that many people on the server. Also with Ferret's permission, I will continue the Silvertalon Mercenaries name on that server. Others are more than welcome to join me. Just post in this thread and I will announce the server I am moving to tonight. I know alot of you have 40+ lvl characters and will not want to join me.

I will be playing as Alliance more than likely though Horde is a possiblity. What do you guys think?
warlocks are fun :) i have a lvl 60 one.
i went with a mage on the next char.

Not a problem with me, sorry to see you go though. My lag is still pretty good on LB, even though I'm east coast and its west coast. Then there's east coast servers that I can barely move on. Its really weird.

I LOVE mage/rogue combos. I play a rogue and my favorite class for a teammate is a mage. He aggros at range while I'm stealthed....I bleed the enemy from behind... and, if it's a caster, I kick him before he can make a ranged attack on my mage-teammate.
Kick is great because it effectively makes a caster useless at range for for 5 seconds. It interrupts whatever spell they're casting and they can't cast anything from that school for 5 seconds. So, that +garrote +backstab +sinister strike +eviscerate +whatever that crap the mage throws = dead enemies!
pyroblast, fireball are the common shots. :)

I don't get much lag on LB, but it still has more issues than most of the other servers, like downtime and such.
And it kinda breaks my spirits thinking of raids and Battlegrounds when knowing that the alliance outnumbers the horde with 4:1(16k alliance and 4k horde according to wowcensus :o ).
But I won't be changing servers unless they start to make character transfers possible. Maybe make an alt on the server you choose if it looks good.

It's fun playing with you, and its laggy for all of us in IF or SW.
Turn down your graphics a little bit maybe? That'd help, i'm sure about it.

lol I have a 9800 pro and a gig of RAM it shouldnt slow down like this unless the connection to the server is bad. I also just want to play a little lower population server where I dont see 30 lvl 60's in one spot.
i have alt on firetree, its one of the new servers.

If i was playing WoW alone and didnt know anyone, i would stop after an hour.
It's mainly fun cause of the people you play with, cause MMORPG's are always the same stuff over and over..

This is why I put the offer out to create an alt on another server which I guess I will make it Fire whatever tech said.
i like firetree, its not like u have 50's or 60's running around. lag is ok and people are nice, lot of rogues and priests on alliance already. and its only like 1-2 weeks old.
if curious we could do a census to tell you how many ppl play on each server.
it would matter to me, thats why i suggest it. i dont want to sway you to go anywhere, but if grouping is an issue. you may want to consider it.

I added you to friends on Firetree. I am still jumping between it and LB. Just tell me if you are gonna be on today and which server, I made alts on both. I fixed my lag from LB, neighbor was leeching my wireless net. Had to MAC filter his ass.

I changed his background on his comp, he had the remote viewer enabled with no password or anything. Wrote a quick word doc telling him if he ever tried to leech again I would go postal on him

Dazlinard and myself are also thinking of changing servers. Who ever chose Lightbringer as our server needs a spanking!
I got an idea. Lets pick a server that is the farthest away from the core commuity as possible, that has a huge population, and constantly has technical difficulties. BINGO!! Honestly, I don't know if a worse server could of been chosen.
As of right now I get booted from LB at least once an hour. It's so freaking annoying. My roommate has my old computer with lesser specs and IF is a nightmare for him. When LB was down one whole saturday for technical difficulties me and Daz made characters on a low population east coast server. What a dream! I forgot how much difference being on a good server can make. You can accually walk near an AH.

... I really like grouping with the guild on occasion, and I hate to lose my 46 hunter (and hell, my 25 rogue too), but I'm almost ready to switch too. It's just too much crap to deal with for the money I pay.
hate to tell you folks, but those servers wille ventually have trouble like that too. Yeah I get lag issues at AH but thats just about it. I deal with it for like 5 minutes then I move my way as my game time isnt spent at the AH but grinding and what not.

Kael, not all servers will be like Lightbringer. Lightbringer sucks ass. THere are servesr with a greater population that run better. There is also the fact that no one lives in California (at least that I know of). The vast majority of us are Chicago area and Eastern time zone states.
I just got booted 5 times in a row from lightbringer. As a test I picked the server with the largest population and make a lvl 1. Guess what, I wasn't booted from that server.

I never said it was great. But many of us don't have that problem. I never have been booted. Im sorry about your problems but maybe ill start an alt somewhere but Lightbringer is my main server. I just dont get booted off.

Just make sure that when you make your character you don't do the same mistake I did.
I made a Warlock alt that's an enchanter. I have now realized (at lvl 14) that I'm going to be spending most of my time broke.
Your going to spend all your money on spells and grimoires. All greens that you can't use your gonna DE.
Looks like I need to farm with my main to send money over to my alt :(
enchanting very bad low level. I was poor all the time. I know make a crap load of money though. If i sit in IF spamming my messages I make roughly 50g an hour during peak times. And I dont even have the fiery enchants and the upper levle ones which will make me more but also cost alot more. Im saving up to make my arcanite rod which will cost me roughly 150-200g to make. For a freaking rod! So no on complain when they get charged alot for enchants. We have taken our pains in getting there.
