Im preparing to build my HL2 Computer. The only thing i need on my mobo is atleast 4 ram slots (preferablly 5.. if even possible).

What is the best.. not extremely expensive mobo runnin out there these days.

i dont know of any Athlon 64 mobo's that have more than 4, but i know of a Gigabyte P4 mobo with 6... too lazy to find the link.

My mobo has 3 slots but that's all I really need. I'd prefer having a dual channel mobo over more RAM slots, as most users generally don't need more than 1gb anyway, and a 512mb stick is pretty cheap.

p4's have 4 and i saw the new gigabye with pci express has 6 if you want to wait.

At any rate, I'm using an Asus A7N8X and so far haven't had any problems with it with my AMD 2800+ XP.

you might wanna try telling us what kinda processor you have, cuz you know i have a 386 mobo over here and its got 6 ram slots even.
