SPORTSCENTER: 5-PART SERIES EXAMINES VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY
ESPN’s SportsCenter will present a 5-part series focusing on sports video games starting May 30, including how they’re made, who plays them and why, and controversial content they contain. Sunday’s piece will first air during the morning SportsCenter and subsequent re-air through Monday. Other pieces will debut on each day’s 6 p.m. SportsCenter then on subsequent re-airs.
Sunday May 30th Popularity: examines the relationship between video games and the athletes who play them -- Kevin Garnett, Ray Lewis, Torii Hunter, Mike Tice and Jesse Palmer are among those interviewed. -- Tom Rinaldi
Monday May 31st Competitive Gaming: can an “athlete” make a living as a full-time video-gamer in various “professional” leagues? -- George Smith
