K here is my opinion on this game so far. People are very nonsocial. It's a mmrpg and people just seem to want to play it as a solo game. I play these games purely for the party system, I hate solo stuff in these types of games, it just to boring. The quest are very simple, i have only died once and that is because i was tabbed out. So far i am not impressed with the interface. The keys don't seem to related to each other so i may if i stick with the game reorganize the hot key system to better fit pvp styles when i get higher levels. The training system is just weak too. I'll play out my month subscription but if my opinion does not change I'll drop it.

Find a group of friends to quest with, or join a guild. Join the LFG channel (type /join lfg and then it will be channel 4). Or just wait patiently until your teens when you can start your first instance (this is where the game really shines in my opinion).


The quest are very simple, i have only died once and that is because i was tabbed out.
Wait 'till harder quests (elite quests) which are only accomplished through grouping, or through very good strategies. Or, join a PVP server where all of your quests from level 20+ take place in zone where you can be killed at any time, without provocation, and without the odds in your favor. Even while casting a spell I sometimes look over my shoulder to make sure I'm not getting snuck up on.


So far i am not impressed with the interface.

Ya, agreed, the default keys/skill placements suck. By the time you're level 15 or 20, you'll have more distinct spells that you use situationally than you have spots in your bar, forcing you to download a UImod (read above) or be very good with your organization and shift-#'s.

The training system is just weak too.
If you've never played a MMORPG I could agree with you somewhat, it's a little bit awkward to find your way through the first time around, but then again that's any MMORPG.

I'll play out my month subscription but if my opinion does not change I'll drop it.
If you do, lemmie know, I know friends who dont' want to pony up the initial $50 but are willing to pay per month.

yea pfalcon is hired assassins division guild leader... ask for invite, most ppl here are in it. also solo'ing is fun sometimes when u can get awesome xp for urself, and for doing like a group of quests its fun with ppl... just use /4 for LFG channel of your zone.

join lightbringer... we do non pvp, and everybody in guild is helpful. i think we actually help more with social and party groups than do our own stuff like 60% of the time

Personally, I'm a solo person. That's just my thing, I don't like groupping with people I don't know and can't rely on, they get me killed too often. I enjoy being able to run around as I please without worrying about pissing off a group member or holding people up. I primarily quest, I never grind I just do quest after quest. When its an Elite quest, I group, otherwise I tend to solo. If I ever have a problem though or can't find a group, I just /g and help is on the way.

I have no issues with the interface, neither before or after I started using Cosmos (Which was mainly just for extra buttons)

I think that's a pretty hasty generalization: "People are very nonsocial." I mean, if you think about it, everyone here on GH is either part of a guild or the same guild in which people are social. I'd recommend grouping up with the majority of people here. As for some people wanting to be solo, not everyone has the time to get a group going. I know that I only have an hour here or there because of school work. I just can't or don't want to join a group where I have to spend 10 minutes waiting for them to get to me (or vice versa), 5 minutes deciding what we want to do, 10 minutes getting the other person caught up to where I am in the quest line, and then 30 minutes to play when I could be solo-ing getting awsm rested xp for an hour. That's what's great about this game, it's meant for easy levelling for the working person. That's not to say that there isn't awsm group content, but it's nice for us other folks too.
