Going hiking, will be unavailable Sat-Mon, and you probably won't see me till Tuesday cause I'll be too tired on Monday from the hike out. I'll be giving Spurty full access to my game servers in case there's any issues and they need restarted, like the other day when the STEAM updates failed on the HLDS servers.

YEah that sounds awesome.....I just got back from camping in the catskills and didn't see any bears. I really wanted to see a bear! = )

slackster, you were up in the catskills? Im only like 20-30 minutes away. Actually my college roommate last year works in the mountain doing stuff for it. He sees bears all the time, he normally has to scare them away from camps and such.

If a bear attacks you, just punch it in the face and it'll go away. Or was that sharks... :?

Is it true that to avoid a bear attack, you should stand still and not move? Or is that only for a t-rex....

As long as you aren't near her cubs or her den. If you see a bear and you slowly turn and walk away they won't pay you no mind. A bear only attacks humans in defense of their den or cubs. They'd rather run from you otherwise.

We are back. All is well. We will have photos up eventually....in the time it takes to get ferret's dad to develop them and for me to get them scanned and uploaded. So it will be a couple of weeks probably.
