So I went to badlands to farm to pay DS for the money he lent me for my mount. 45 minutes into rock elements they drop a axe. I show ds and hes like dude that could sellf or 45g. Turns out its an epic axe and I have it now up for auction for 75g. I am a very happy person right now. Saved me alot of time. And now all that goes into enchanting. Just thought I'd share my story cuz i am telling everyone.

as an FYI. epic items (purple) are random world drops. they could drop from a level 9 boar outside origimar or a level 56 ogre eliete. they will drop anywhere.

Lol....next thing you know, there will be people farming level 9 boars all over the place. :P

Thats a pretty nice axe, I got some good stuff over the last few days too.

Sadly enough, all I get are axes...and being a gnome warlock, those things are totally useless to me. Oh cruel fate.... :(

check out my gear. i have over 5200 hp fully buffed out witha priest's stamina buff. 4700 without it (and imp out).

I'm kind of surprised, you put an enormous emphasis on stamina. I'm just wondering why you have stamina over intelligence as primary attribute. My stam and int are like the reverse of yours. I put emphasis on int and then on stam, then agi, then the rest can just go away.

Kenji... my straegy is like this:

See mob

Shadow bolt (simutaniously set imp to attack)
Immolation
Corruption
Curse of agony

then i bust in with my sword, and slap the heck out of the mob. using my firestone i do extra damage on attack. its really nice. and i have no issues killing a 2 and sometimes 3 pull mob.

with the mana, you certainly move quicker. but i dont use it. i can go 6-7 mobs without need mana. exspecially with converting life to mana. imagine it as a complete mana reserve that allows me to tap into it.

or i can be a sort of tank if required.

Let me say, with this much health, i have no problems using hellfire :)

oh and also, it allows me to take on PVP kills at levels i shoudlnt enoucnter.

for example, i took out a level 60 rogue when i was level 55 :)

that should NOT happen.... :)

Neh. Level doesn't matter nearly as much in PvP as player vs NPC.... Maybe its different at 50+ but I've seen level 25s beat level 40s. The game takes out a lot of 'bonusus" gained from being a higher level in PvP.

Yeah, I halved a 55th level Undead Warlocks life in one shot. I'd hate to see it with my current weapon, which I halved a 53rd level Paladins life in one shot. Level 40 pwns you.

What I don't get is, how you can get a tank, with warlocks only being able to wear cloth, you must take a crapload of damage a hit from mobs.

yeah, but with such a large amount of health, you can take on a mob, then rest (heal etc) and move on.

more mana doesnt help me. i cant spend it fast enough.

i get interrupted far to often to attempt to do non-stop shadow bolts.

levels themselves dont matter exceedingly much. they still help a ton, but they are marginally less important from your average mmorpg. the big gains come from higher level gear (duh), and talents.
fighting someone with a full talent tree when you havent even put 25 points into your own kind of sucks.

that being said i can gank people of any level/class, and i can solo people my level with relative ease.
this also depends on the class combinations. fighting a paladin 4 levels higher I can drop him to 40% health after his shield/heal, fighting a rogue 6 levels higher i have to use engineering or he drops me before i take him to half life.
i can solo mages/warlocks up to 6 levels higher than me.

it certainly helps when they are distracted though.
*longs for more 1v1 fights*

health to 10% , super shield... full heal fight, repeat.
do this till he's out of super shields...

I haven't been having problems with paladins. I actually just dueled a same level rogue and I beat him easily and didn't have my new spells as I didn't have the money to get it all.

i dont really have a problem with paladins i usually just blast them so hard that they have to keep using shield and not even fighting.

Don't hate Paladins!
We're really nice guys, unless you're Undead. We don't like Undead.
:)

Paladins aren't that great. No group control and no ranged spells/weapons.
Only time I feel that I "own" is when I go one-on-one with Warrior-types and I really suck against Mages and Priests.

Our Shadow priest (level 35) beat a level 42 warrior in a duel, then immediately went and dropped a level 44 shaman in a duel. It was amazing to watch the shaman run like hell after he got beat by a priest.

A PRIEST.

that's sad that a shammy lost against a priest. My shammy enjoys fighting priests :-D

that shaman was incompetant on a magnificent level.
even with just grounding totems and earth shock you could rock a priest.
