Ok, being that I'm currently working on one and we are always looking for ways to improve it. I'd like to know what you guys would like to see in an MMORPG that either hasn't been done, or hasn't been done right yet.

Granted I prolly won't be able to give you any credit if it goes in the game but if we do choose to use it, I'll let ya know if they let me hehe.

No ultimate weapon, everyone should be able to make there own sword great. I havn't played many MMORPG so I dont know if many actually have 1 ultimate weapon BUT ITS BAD. Also actioned based combat would be cool. Like, the whole hit% thing can get a bit annoying in some MMORPG.
Thats my 2 cents

Design and create your own weapons, armor, etc. Being able not only to create but to forge your weapon and armor however you want would be incredible if you could make it work.

We have such a system in place already Nefarious. You basically control what kind of weapon, the stats on the weapon, and to a degree the look of the weapon. Your control over the stats is entirely based on your skill in making weapons, and there will be no super weapons.

If you didn't play Guild Wars at all then shame on you! All of these ideas are ripped directly from GW.

Your own missions to prevent kill stealing and camping a mob forever. This may take a lot of coding and stuff but yeah, it's worth it.

Streaming content - New graphics are downloaded whenever you enter a certain area.

Travel wherever, whenever. I don't want to walk for 15 minutes to the next town to figure out that they don't have what I'm looking for. Let me bring up a world map and click on where I want to go.

Uhh, that's all for now. I'll try and think of some more stuff later.

As Nefarious said, no monthly payments. That's another thing that is good about Guild Wars.

actually KudOz, Guild wars stole them from us and we are waiting to hear back from their lawyers. The guild war developers are ex-developers of simu who thought they could take some of the game's ideas with them.

also we haven't thought of a new name for the game yet. Used to be called Hero's Journey but we've since revamped it about 4 times since I joined the staff and they decided a name change would also be in order. So now we refer to it as the "super secrete project that most of our player base already knows about."

website is www.simutronics.com but you won't find much if any info on it. Only reason alot of the players know is cause we got excited about it 3 years back during the "big boon" and were gonna rush it out but thought better and have been working to perfect it.

So for you MMORPG players take note, good games don't get pumped out, they take a few years to make :D
