I don't know about any of you guys, but i've found that it's taking me way too long to level

using the /played command, i see that on average it takes me 3.5 hours to level .... so at level 21 i'm getting about 2-3 levels a day.

I'm starting to wonder if it's me, my character, my tactics .. or what..?

How long does it take most of you to level, and what level are you at?

Sounds about right. Of course I take much longer, but I screw around and do random quests that aren't worth anything and play with crafting and all kinds of stuff.

I wish I was still getting 2-3 levels a day. I'm 38 now and today I managed all of 16 bubbles.

2-3 is kinda pushing it... i definitely get one, but i've been working hard to get 2 a day. ....

Ok i guess i've just not been playing that long. ... just that others have logged in less hours but are at the same level as me.

At lvl 50 if I played for a full 10 hour session I can usually get about 2 levels. This also includes a lot of bumming around and helping others. The quests at the higher lvls can be a little annoying because they are not all in the same area.

There's no reason to rush the game right now, not until battlefields come out. So take your time and enjoy the game, quests, and lore behind this wonderful game. That said, I just made 50 this past week, and my /played is 294 hours. That works out to about 5.88 hours per level. I'm definitely on the slow side of things, but I'm enjoying the game too much to notice.

That's not that bad at all. One of the higher level druids in our clan has over 20 days (~500 hrs) on it.

My new hunter (my absolute favorite all time character in any RPG I have ever played--ever) has leveled quite quickly because of skinning. I can easily take beasts 2 or sometimes 3 levels above me with the help of my wolf (I'm currently level 17), which add a ton of xp and give me nice goodies to sell.

Re: Leveling.

Let me say it takes me longer than the rest of you... i spent about 8 hours at level 50. im a warlock, and i find quests very difficuly unless they are my level or lower.

when i do party up with people, i have a tendancy to gain agro (by mistake) and spend lots of time running as a dead being :(

voidwalker doesnt hold my agro either less i take a good 45seconds to kill something.

if i do it quick and fast (Soul Fire, Immolation, Corruption, Curse of Agony) it could take 15-30seconds depending on their life. i finish with drain soul to create a soul shard (which i burn using soul fire).

so far my biggest crit was for 1500 or so. was quite happy :) as a warlock at least.

while im doing all that i also am jabbing them with a dagger holding a firestone for a chance to deal 60-80 each hit (happens about 1in4 hits or so).

so i tend to kill them slow so i dont spend much time running. therefor its taking me a while to level. although, i just got a new spell which will amplify my next curse big time.

If you are a warlock, it should be relatively easy for you to level once you hit the later stages of the game. I'm level 52 right now and leveling isn't as slow as I thought it would be. What any warlock has to realize now, is that he no longer uses the summoned minions, instead they go to a place like Felwood and cast Enslave Demon on a lvl 54 Elite Infernal. Afterwards, you just kinda pound your way through anything, although you do have to remember that it breaks loose after 5 minutes.

yeah... dont experiment much with those.. should.
im waiting for the grimmore of the infernal.

muhahahaahah big drop.

right now. a GREAT place to grind is the Hippogrphs (called thunderheads something) they are blue in ashzara Northern area.

@ lvl 50-51 give you 300 xp.
lvl 52 i was up near 260.

they die FAST!
and they ahve good drops and drop feathers (1 in 4 or so) that sell for big.
stack of 20 goes for 2g 79s 80c
