Ok, the MS adapter is like $100. I know there must be a cheaper alternative out there.
Anyone have any ideas?
I have ethernet run to one of my TVs, but not all, and that doesn't help at all when I bring XBox to a friends house.

Ha.
Robb isn't my boss. So eat it.
But the fact he is the only manager senior to me in our dept. right now, and getting wireless working on the xbox would benefit him, well, you get the idea.

my 'search box on top of the forums' fu has come up with this:
Using a non-MS wireless adapater (http://forums.gamehavoc.com/showthread.php?t=22966&highlight=wireless+xbox)
not sure what the end result of the thread is, but it could be a fun surprise for you!

Yeah, but, wtf is the point when a wireless bridge costs the same as the MS adapter?
I was hoping that maybe someone had discovered some cheap ghetto solution, ie, will one of those little USB laptop adapters work? Or would they need seperate drivers which XBox wouldn't support?

i actually broke down and bought the adapter when it was 50 bucks on sale at Future Shop. I struggled with this issue for a while, and just decided the easiest and most likely best solution was to get the adapter.
I waited for a sale, and everything has been perfect ever since. Took me less than a minute to get it all going.
