oh yes mayhem.
This game is amazing and is very similar to the 1st Mercs. As usual you are a mercenary (duh) and do contracts for the various factions around while gaining monies. They did do a few different things for mercs 2.
You can hire people on to your team as the game advances. The 1st one you get is a helicopter pilot who can transport you around the map or pick up stuff for you, which is the 2nd new thing. Around the world are munitions (air strikes, artillery strikes, bombing runs ect) that can only be picked up by a heli. So you call in your pilot and he picks it up for you.
Best part of the game is the online co-op. At ANY point during the game you can drop into a friends game or they can drop into yours and it doesn't interrupt the game. Anything you do in a friends game translates into yours which includes missions, bounties, and any cash gained or lost.
and of course the environment is destructible, in fact theres a couple of achievements you get for blowing stuff up.
