Another holiday down the cape and more programming done!
I have worked out how to decode the new output via the API model and convert what you get into web pages.
w00t for me ..
Nothing special, been done 5 or 6 times by other sites, but those sites spit out highly stylized html and it looks all borked when loaded via the in game browser.
Will post links before the end of july for this as I have a number of fun problems to resolve before I go live with it.
You may never care for it, but I am going to be using it for 'vetting' new recruits to the corp I'm a CEO in.
You've taken to FW and created your own corporation? CEO is a great deal of work, time, and effort, a possition I do not desire. Just who's faction did you join. I know a great deal of the Federal Defence Union.
I also read somewhere Outbreak joined the Minmatar FW and proceeded to whip the Amarrians into slavery.

unfortunately, FW is not as fun as it started off being. Its turned all 'political' and in this spirit we're leaving FW and just going to declare war on randoms that sit at the gates.
How could FW become political. All it takes is a singular entity to spew forth foul words and jeapardize any diplomacy. A militia will not be able to respond quick enough nor boot the corporation from it's ranks as the whole FW is based around a pilots freewill.
Only event that could crush the moral of a faction, is if the opponent feels beaten. Meaning we already have the winner and the war should be over.
Politics equals diplomacy, intimidation, and bluffing. According to CCP and there storyline all diplomacy has failed. As such any political expression will be a bluff or show of intimidation. Bluffing is a void arguement since we already know they other people are lieing since they've no desire for diplomacy or mercy (due to ingame mechanics). Thus intimidation through a show of force is needed that means PvP.
Stir the hive Spurty and you'll see what politics really are in EVE. You've seen it with in Tri and through the actions of Tri. Apply what you have seen from a 0.0 alliance to NPC held empire. When a threat is pitted against your faction, it's hallow b/c there opponent can't be beat. It's a computer generated NPC (CONCORD). Give me a link to some faction forum, where there is a "political" conversation so I can end that illussion and inform the participants of there dumbest mistake in the game. I hold this view as I've spent years surviving in Syndicate, an area of space identical to what has become of the contested systems. All this expanssion has done is expanded what many alliances consider as "baby" empire. A game mechanic where budding/rebuilding alliances can test there might, iron out there flaws, and develope there assets for a day when they take the option to invaid/colonize 0.0. Atleast in Syndicate you've a far better selection of resources to tap to merit warfare and a quicker means of corporate income with out the secuirity status restriction of CONCORD.
Sorry for the wall of text, but I wanted to express how silly politics really are when there is nothing to gain/lose.

the politics were inside our corporation regarding the 'level of skill' of the average pilot in the militia. No one was bothering to log into the game.
Thats a pressure from someone's 'ideals' which needed to be resolved.
It was indeed politics. The politics of keeping ppl happy and they were a disaster.
I quite agree, politics are silly

EVE anymore is all about the Meta-game. The wars are fought on the boards, and done via EFT now. FW was a draw because it was Titan and Mothershipless battle... Well I got news for all those poor souls... There is are 5 Imperial Aeons, and 2 Imperial Avatars waiting to be unleashed for a storyline... along with other Imperial versions of Capital ships.
The RP wing of CCP is getting ready to step in and they got big plans, and it involves titans. Granted it won't be on the Level of BoB and their 5 titan circle jerk, but you will see Titans on the battlefield reguardless.
The only thing I'm not sure on will be the use of the doomsday device or a modified doomsday device (btw, they are working on doomsday devices that do things other then damage, such as a grid wide EMP blast or Neut blast to give titan pilots other options and change the tactics up a bit) They have been back and forth on that issue countless times behind the scenes.
But one that I can assure you on is, the Devs and their RP bitches will get involved, and it will involve Titans and Motherships... FW will become alot like the 0.0 battle.
