Omg, its fun, but wow .. Caldari state is the only one I can fight for and they are full of missile spewing n00bs wondering why they suck at dps on nano ships lol. Complete fail.

Only one problem, with every patch, update I always get the dreaded CRC errors and have to try 40times before getting one to work. Spurty, using your knowledge of this kind of thing, why won't it instal with one atempt.

either your hard drive is on its way out or memory.

Is your machine old? Does it make noises? Is this the only place where you do down loads that you get these errors?

Paranoia point of view, does your ISP drop packets intentionally?

ISPs dropping packets is lucrative when you consider they are pushing for tiered packages for customers.

Imagine this, you have a download cap of 1gig, they drop packets. You have to download a 10 meg file 100times .. we ... you are going to have a big bill next month ;-)

IF packets are being dropped then the SHA-1 signatures wouldn't match if I'm correct. In my case they do match so I'm thinking its an error with the client updater or some memory error. Then again I'm not to familiar with SHA-1 or any other application encryption security.

SHA-1 is a just a message digest that returns a hash of a file. No encryption, just 'verification' that the file hasn't been tampered with.

CRC errors come from corruption, so not sure where the issue is.

ANother little bit to note is that the classic upgrade and fresh instal happen with out error on first try every time. Yet the premium content always fails, reguardless.

One day, I tried to install the full premium client about 5 times (redownloaded in between) and kept getting CRC errors. Eventually, a download worked.
