So, having had a great run and doing everything they set out to do (basically, kill one of every ship inc a titan) people started to 'naturally' leave Tri on their own accord looking for new things to do and objectives.

Darknesss and Super had 2 last fights and the attendance for these was the only reason they immediately (instead of waiting another 2 months) disbanded the alliance.

Yes, you'll read how some guy in his basement dressed as an elf managed to single handedly destroy the alliance. The truth is, the alliance became 'anti-fun' and the only way to make it fun again is to weed out the 'hangers on' and get back to the core.

Its rumored those that moved out of deklien (d00m, r.a. and omen) will try to side with BOB but the truth is, no one really knows where they are going.

They will stay together as a corp, for corp ops usually inspired 85% turn out. But as an alliance, it had too many carebears and those people killed the fun as I guess, when you see you have a 1000 ppl in your alliance, but only 10% of them are working to keep the space, it leaves a sour taste in you mouth.

90% of those people will find their lack of effort turned into a bit of a panic as they return to their stations and find them empty lol.

cold custard

Whatever happens next, it will be fun and small and possibly in a completely different region to where we were. (From the North to the South or anywhere but the drone regions).

will get back to him when I have helped move everyone to safety :)

On a side note, I installed VirtualBox so that I could play wow in that environment with a glider (chuckle).

Turns out, virtualization and 3d do not mix. Seemed like a good idea at the time

like every hack in Counter Strike, the only way to know your enemy is to become em.

Alas, can't try it out, so will never know if those ppl I see wandering around at botting or not

Just assume they are botting. Don't do it, you'll manage to get banned, plus we'll think you're bad

taking ferrets recommendation and just assuming they are botting.

How does one 'call a gm' in wow then ?

it's generally pretty easy to find botters. They won't be doing quests, they will just be grinding on mobs, usually in an out of the way place with a high respawn timer.

you can tell if they are botting by 'tagging' a mob before them, and seeing if they continue to attack it.

Spurty, you've provided the sugar coated version. Sparing the gritty details I've heard, those who are currently in Tri / ex-Tri, I'll generously lend an invite to TFC and thus into PURE and the NC. Reply/PM me and you don't have to move very far at all... You'll need to be in empire to apply, I only offer this because I've followed GH since ChiMayhem was merged.

It would also help if you could provide a screen caption of your character selection/the userId & (limited) APIkey.

No offense but why do they need the userid?

thanks for the offer ToeL, not going to say no as things are up in the air at the moment, but can't see myself leaving d00m in the immediate future.

http://ineve.net/skills/character.php?charID=NzQ0ODMzNzU0 is my character (I update it about once a week). I really don't care for specialization as I am yet to see a specialized character beat (sure they can evade well, but thats not fighting) 10 people in a fight lol.

I'm working on cap skills right now but no real plans to buy a dread or carrier.

As for 'sugar coating', all that crap is not coming from my corp ;-)

Thats all the people who my corp was supporting upset that we got fed up being the punch bag between them and the other corps that left before us. Why dark defended GD for so long is a mystery even to him. The closing of Tri was on the boards before the CVA campaign, just we got a titan in the oven around then and had to hold off.

We were bleeding members and corps as they were (quite correctly) unhappy with the concept of baby sitting towers and holding space. That idea failed badly. We were only doing that to get fights. In all that time, only one one came our way and we pnwed 20 caps the first night. Alas, nothing else materialized and people left.

Off to where no one is blue and every jump = targets rather than having to go 30 - 50 jumps to find anything.

All my gear fits into a single freighter, so I was out 5mins after I heard the news in the corp meeting lol

Not sure myself exactly what he wants it for, but he can see what I'm training and doesn't have to keep asking. Plus, I can't doctor (not that I would, but it would be trivial) the skills i say I have (which is exactly why the EVE API keys rock) :smt055

The API I can understand, but I see no reason to give out my userid.

[gh]Spurty
05-17-2008, 12:39 AM
you need a userid to access the api. Its not private info. Anyone can get it from the database, its just not obvious who it refers to until you pull it.

Are you thinking 'username' ?

I hear D00M. is camping odeb now and taking out cap ships...pfft... Once I get my dread, they start waiting... (PS: I have to start doing alarm clock ops so I get on titan kill mails :( damned goonswarm/ruskie titans won't get bubbled while I'm awake!)

its a road trip sig, we nailed about 5 caps in the first couple of hours there and now ppl know we are there, they are starting to get organized lol

I read the NC is taking Deklien, and hear that PURE will have the AA space Tri took...

In EVEmon or inEVE, you have to supply two fields a userID and APIkey. I've no idea why it is needed, just that CCP says it is.
What is an API key? What do I use it for?

The API key is a private code that identifies your account. Combined with your user ID, this key allows third party programs and web sites to access information about your characters and corporations. Using this data, such utilities can improve your EVE experience by providing useful functionality such as wallet exports, skill training notifications, and other tools. lol to be honest, was hoping goons would take it. But, I have a clone up there for market shenanigans, so whoever took it, they better have a good market going (seeing as Tri turned it from shat into jita part 2)

ToeL
05-27-2008, 01:56 AM
If the NC hold Delkien and not yeild it to renters, then your once Jita part 2 won't mean anything as each alliance has it's own system in our capital constellations.

ToeL, sorry I do not understand?

Anyway, we are likely about to join bob in the south. North has been done to death. Only reason I'd be there is to see if there is any market to manipulate. If not, will be a quick visit lol

ToeL

I'm still trying to figure out a way to merge BOB with Boob, then in refrence to the pet corps of BOB we can refer to them as BooBies.

Sansha rats are easy to blast apart, tank, and collect profit from. Sadly the better space has been claimed and the NPC farmed to death.
