So I figure, since I've done this about 8 times now trying out all the classes, I'd write it up for some of the newer folks. This is how you can get level 6 in an hour or less, just running through the newbie quests and all. You should be able to figure it out on your own, but I'm bored so I'm going to type it out first.

First off: This is only valid for Trolls and Orcs, as its details their starting area.

Make your character and join! You'll want to talk to the guy standing directly in front of you first, then turn towards your left to find a cave entrance. There will be an orc just inside to finish the first quest. This guy will give you the first REAL quest.. Go kill 10 boars. This is really easy and lets you get familiar with all your starting skills and spells. The boars are just north of where you started.

You will each level 2 around the 8th boar. Go back to the guy who gave you the quest to complete it. He will have two more for you.. One is related to your class, the other is to go gather 10 scorpoid tails. Get both quests. Find your guild trainer (Either inside the cave or just south of its entrance) to complete the first quest and see if you have any new skills.

Now there's a few more quests available at level 2. Just north of the cave entrance is an orc with a big ! on his head, he'll ask you to gather apples. Another female orc is south of where you started and will ask you to kill 12 vile familiars. You may also see another quest depending on your class (Shamans will get one asking that they kill 2 felbeasts)

Head north from the cave/den area and turn west. Along the way you'll notice that some of the small cattus's now have little gears when you hover your mouse over them. Walk up and right click them to gather the apples, you'll need ten. Keep heading towards the west and you'll find the scorpids, as well as an injured troll under a tree. Talk to him for another quest. Kill scorpids until you have 8 or 9 tails, then head south from the injured troll. You should find a trail heading up the hill. There will be an aggressive black scorpid up here, kill it and take its claw to the injured troll, and finish gathering the tails. You should now have all the tails, all the apples, and have given the claw to the troll. Head back to the den.

Turn in the apples (You can use them or sell them, but its the XP you want), and talk to the orc inside the cave to complete the two scorpid quests. You should now be level 4 (One level from killing things, one from the quest XP) or just under it. If you head out straight east from the cave you should see a new orc with a ! on his head, asking you to whomp peons on the head. You might have seen them sleeping under trees. Get the quest from him.

Head northward now. You may want to walk along the edge of the valley to whomp the peons that are sleeping. You need to hit all 5 before we go back to the den. At the north end of the valley you'll find some little blue imps guys. Kill them until you've completed the quest from the female orc. If you're a shaman, you'll need to go into the cave at the north end a little ways to find felbeasts. Once you've completed killing the familiars and hitting the peons, head back to the Den.

The female orc will give you a new quest, as will the peon foreman. Both require you to head back to the north cave. Kill as you go. The foreman's axe is in the center of the cave, on the center path once you enter. To get to the named NPC holding the amulet needed for the female orc's quest, head to the right hand path. Once you complete these quests, head back to the den yet again.

The female orc will tell you to head to Sen'jin village, and the foreman is done with you. You will be level 5 by now, and possibly level 6 or just under it.

Head to Sen'jin village, killing a few things on the way if you aren't at least half way to level 6. When you talk to the chief in Sen'jin, the XP from the quest should give you level 6.

Notes: I will detail what to do in Sen'jin and Razorhill later.

Notes: Warlocks will not get the first vile familiar quest.. They will instead get it from a warlock trainer, and will have to complete it to recieve their first demon pet.

Notes: Shamans have one more quest than this details. I'll add it later.

it actually slows down when you hit the village and do those quests.
im nearly 8 at 2 hours, playing a new race (troll), and a new class (shaman).

that valley took a lot of wandering for me to find. im stupid.

You have to do quite a bit more walking for the Sen'jin quests, plus you start needing a lot more XP. I actually don't do them all in one go anymore, but mix them up with the Razorhill quests. But I'll write that up later.

Hunters have 1 more quest as well for those interested in that profession

Yes, but the quest for pets isn't until long after the valley of trials. Level 10.

But they have the quest that basically tells you to be a skinner, can't remember the name.
