Hi I'm looking for some programmers who don't mind offering a little love on side of their normal duties.

;)

I'm working on building some applications for Facebook. So anyone with Java or PHP or both backgrounds are welcomed.

I'm personally still reading up and trying to figure how to make something on their site.

So initially I want someone that is willing to help build some test apps and if all goes well. Start working with me on a new little venture of mine.

Currently I am still working out all the little details and blips and bops of what I am exactly trying to do. But I wanted to toss it out there for anyone interested in helping out. Helping/working may lead to a door full of a zillion virgins (men or women or animal or thing - its a risk you'll have to take).

So if you feel you have the skills or knowledge and like to find out more.

send me a PM and we'll talk!

I am reluctant with many things like this, and it isn't because of you. There are so many ideas sprouting up its hard to devout your time to the next best thing. I have worked rigorously on three separate "ideas" with other people on my own time and they did not pan out. The really good developers are hard to persuade to do something without a lot of info detailing it, such as requirement docs, spending plans, and marketing ideas.

Well I'm building a new team as we'll be working on creating a business plan for this new venture. We'll be entering in a competition with it.

I'm looking right now for someone interested in creating some test apps on facebook. If it all goes well, then that person(s) will be welcomed in onto the full project.

This is very professional and not some sort of hey lets make a magical monkey dance. And then make it half way and drop the project.

So again if anyone is semi interested PM with what you know or sample work and we'll talk.

Anything starting from the ground up takes time, energy, blood sweat and tears. However, I'm hoping to accomplish an end product and not just bleed.

**Note to Kael: Since you're in town and if your interested. I'd be more than happy to meet up with you over lunch or something to discuss what I have cooking.

I highly doubt most people who start ventures think to themselves "This isn't going to work; I'll just get my toes wet and then drop it." Most probably think they can do it at first, then start facing problems and then decide to drop it, often for something that looks easier that they haven't run into the same problems with, yet.

I would be interested but I don't want to be anywhere near a facebook app project. I hate facebook apps, and I wouldn't develop one on principle. I don't want to be a ninja, nor a pirate. Stop sending me bumper stickers. I dont care that someone thinks that i have a cool profile picture. No i will not take a movie quiz. Stop sending me virtual plants. Why would I want a super wall? The one I have is just fine. Free gifts, what?

I am so sick of facebook applications, and the entire "invite your friends" mentality that they breed. Every single application is more interested in having users than giving their users something to do. At best, the best ideas are poorly implemented. There are some really great apps that are based off of great concepts and could be fantastic if they were independent and werent a damned facebook app.
