I nabbed this out of another thread we touched on, i think it deserves its own place.

theres a bit of spanish in the comment fields.. but this is hte script that which i did refer to.

this will allow users to have a seperate "logged on" avatar and a special "logged off" avatar. ive seen it on another bulletin board, and think this is the right script. i dont know much about them. :)

For the record, you realize that like, 90% of the time it'll show your offline avatar? Sessions are stored for 3600 seconds (Hour), and you're only considered "online" if you've had activity in the past 5 minutes.

this is true, but since the online and offline would be speicified by the user, they could have some fun with the avatar :)

i dont want to make work for anyone. if its a pain in the ass... perhaps its not worth the while...?
