Just wanting to get account names so I might be able to catch up with some people.

I am NewBreed, of course. I am currently working on a tauren shamen, thinking of trying alliance soon.

let me ask you guys this... anyone really good at the warlock? i need some training... i cant pvp. and i understand that a warlock really cant that well..
but i have issues all the time dieing to creatures 1-2 levels higher than me, and i can never take on more than 1 at a time...

people laugh and say its "me". but offer no help to solve my problems :(

shadowmagi (insane) offered me some info, and i havent found a good sword or dagger to go with on it yet... but he told me to dot, then attack, which is different than my gaming style now... which was dot, shadow bolt, shadow bolt, re-dot if req'd.

if i have 2 creatures attacking, i get my ass kicked. :(

thats my character, i have almost 1800+ mana, yet only 700 health... any input would be great. i've read stuff on alahazham (sp) and its the same gamestyle that i play, just doesnt seem to work for me...

I am playing a warlock and having no probelm killing mobs that are 2 levels higher than me. Also, I can take on more than one.
I start out by having my imp start the attack on the mob. He will pull the aggro. Then I hit him with the three DOTs. The entire time I am DOTing him my imp is holding aggro. Then I start to Shadow bolt him. At this time my pet is hurt bad but I pull the mob off before he dies. If I do get more than one, I cast fear on the 2nd mob and come back to him after I kill the first.

yeah, thats the method i use... but it just never seems to work :( maybee i dont have enough health. i use my void more often than not. i've almost got my felsomthingorother...

need to do 1 more part tonight (hoping erad will help me) as i cant get to the wetlands on my own i dont think. too many alliance... and he seems to be a powerhouse.

I think you might also want some better gear. You've got pretty good gear, but it looks a lot like mine and I'm only a level 24 Priestess. Are you doing instances? Also, let me mock your intelligence for a moment, have you used your talent points? And if so, which talent tree did you go down? That should make a big difference.

P.S. Anyone who says warlocks are not good at PvP have not mastered the warlock. Our highest level warlock, Tonearm, is a badass when it comes to PvP.

im now gimped compared to most of the guys. they blew past me... ive been level 30 for almost 4 days... maybee 5. just last night i hit 31...

even your almost up to me falcon and you were busy for almost 4-5 days.. lol

seems i cant do quests on my own. i always have to party up. i now hae 2 warlock quests to do. and 1 of them is FREAKING ELIETE! whats up with that...

so i need a party for that one :-/

btw, thanks falcon, id appreciate any help. snow sent me a link on "how to be a better warlock". seems fear is the answer. whenever i use it, i seem to agro anything near the feared guy too which in turn gets 4+ more on me >: (

Tips on playing Warlock from a Lvl 40 Warlock.

The only pet you should really ever use, except under certain conditions is Voidwalker. There is nothing else worth using unless...

1. You are in a group and you have a high Blood Pact which will give high Stam boosts to your entire party.
2. You are fighting an area filled with only spellcasters, then you should use felbeast.
3. You want to die so you play around with other pets.

Voidwalker has the abilities which are totally necessary for a warlock to survive at high levels. At high levels your spells generate an insane amount of aggro which almost always pulls the enemy to you. Voidwalker will help you with that, other pets may do more damage, but most likely you'll be very beat up, or dead by the time your pet kills the enemy. Always, ALWAYS upgrade your Voidwalker's Torment and Suffering ability as soon as you can.

How to kill stuff:

Pull mob with a wand attack OR cast Corruption and then Curse of Agony on it. Then CTRL+1 to send in the Voidwalker to attack. After combat has been initiated, throw 2 or 3 more wand attacks OR Life Drain if you need health and then cast Immolate. Afterwards, just pummel away with whatever you need to. Most of the time you will eventually begin to generate enough aggro for the mob to come after you, especially if you are using Shadow Bolt, DO NOT USE Searing Pain, generates $#!^load of aggro, unless you are a Destruction Talent Warlock like I am, it is not worth it to use Searing Pain unless you have +15% crit, +100% crit damage, +10% spell damage, even then it might not be as useful as Shadow Bolt. By the time aggro begins to build up and the mob starts coming toward you, it should be almost dead, so at most you take one or two hits.

As for multiple enemies, Fear is useful, and later on you get Howl of Terror, that hits multiple stuff with Fear. I almost never use Fear and never needed to. If you have multiple mobs, have your Voidwalker tank both of them. Simply CTRL+1 and attack one until it begins to hit your Voidwalker back, then CTRL+1 the other mob. Yes your Voidwalker will take a beating, so cast everything you can to mow down one of them first, and sometimes you may have to use Health Funnel to give your pet some HP. However if you have high Stamina, which you should since a Warlock build should prioritize INT, STAM, AGI. Spirit is not that useful since it only affects regenerate rate, most of the time you can eat or drink. If your HP is high, then use Rain of Fire or better yet, Hellfire to wipe out large amounts of mobs. However, Hellfire has the drawback of hitting you as well, so watch your HP.
