Ok, so Jr came up with a semi-brilliant idea that, instead of doing the "bring whatever" builds that we've been taking (and failing with), we've decided we should get organized. Now, since we have quite the mix of competative/casual/in between PvPers in our guild, we'd have a helluva time trying to find a group build that everyone would enjoy. So, instead of finding one build, we've decided to do a sort of "rotation" schedule, where one person gets to make a build and that's what the guild plays for the night. This doesn't mean we don't change things or tweak the build midway through. This will make us more organized, so we maybe have a bit more fun and start winning some more of our matches.

As for who goes first, I believe Bale had a build he was pretty excited to run last night in HoH. So perhaps he should finish drawing up that build, and we'll play it.

Also, I believe we decided on a "10pm PvP Time", so try and make it on at or before then, so we have can get started while people are still awake.

I didn't have a build I was "pretty excited about," but I did just give a sample idea of something unconventional to try. I think that a team of me/e with fast casting and mostly earth and some domination might work well in Halls. With the plenty of defense AND offense that earth provides, we'd all be able to keep ourselves alive without having a specific monk for the enemy to target. I think that hitting most of those halls teams, be they IWAY or spike, with some coordinated damage, enchantment removal, and knockdown might work really well.

I've been playing around in randoms today to get a feel for what I think will work. I'll give a more detailed plan later, but here are skills that I think should be looked into. I've divided them into what I think are the most important skills to consider, and then other skills i think should be tried. Also, throwing in a couple of water-users might prove useful as well.

Armor of Earth
Shatter Enchantment
Earthquake
Obsidian Flame (used sparingly)
Unnatural Signet
Ward Vs. Foes
Ward Vs. Melee

Also,
Silver Armor
Ward of Stability
Energy Burn
Ward against Harm (water)
Energy Drain or Glyph of Energy (for energy management)
Ether Feast (for self-healing if we don't take a monk)

To handle blood spikers, having a few Guilts thrown on them would throw of their spike timing. Silver Armor, with the benefit of fast casting, can be thrown up to throw off Ranger Spiking. All the wards should provide ample protection vs. IWAY. Perhaps we should take a couple of E/Mos also though. They won't have fast casting, so they should leave earthquake behind, but the healing might be necessary, even with our high defense.

Ranger spikes are very hard to stop and IMO the best way to stop them would be Cry of Frustration as you can punk down a large group of them instead of just one or two.

Edit: I've heard "Shields Up" shout can work aswell.

Silver Armor gives you 75% block chance. Also, it has a pretty fast 30 second recharge. I think it is excellent ranger defense (along with the huge armor bonus Armor of Earth gives).

Well regardless of what we play, what day should we begin to impliment this? Considering that many people have jobs to schedule around we should establish that first.

If this is really going to work, i would say doint post anything on here relating to the builds otherwise this thread will get huge. Bring any ideas about each individual build to the grp when it assembles.

Nah, people need to have an understanding of what we're going to play beforehand. Not only would it be best to work out a team build on here, but people need to know what skills they need to unlock.

Everyone plan to be on tonight at around 10pm est. This is when we will discuss standard playing times and begin the rotation of builds. If you aren't here you will be filled in.

I thought ranger spike was the most easily countered. Aegis, you see an enchantment removed throw on prot spirit. Cry of frustration, also disable one of their rangers and you're home free.

Right now I think the best spike build so far is the feast of corruption one.
