Do feature films count? If so, I have to vote for everything I've seen by Miyazaki. In my opinion, his films transcend the normal anime stereotypes (which even the best anime still seems to cling), and create vibrant, whimsical settings. That said, I'll put the four Miyazaki films that I've seen in order of my preference:

Pincess Mononoke
Howl's Moving Castle
Spirited Away
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Winds

And I really wish I could get ahold of the final Hellsing DVD. They mass-released four of the five, and then had a much smaller release of the fifth later on (as I believe those episodes were MADE much later).
