Game server on VDS

I was thinking of getting a VDS( Virtual Dedicated Servers ) and maybe running a game server off of it. It would have enough bandwidth and would have 512-1024mags of ram to itself to. The catch is that i would be sharing a box with like 5 other people maybe more. Do u guys think it would work?

What's the price? If its around $100 or more. Don't do it. You can rent a full dedicated server for the same price.
