Derrek Lee fractured his right wrist and will be in a cast for up to six weeks after a collision with Dodgers shortstop Rafael Furcal on Wednesday. The Cubs first baseman will go on the disabled list for the first time in his career and could miss two to three months.

im so sad!!!!! this sux as i am a diehard cub fan. furcal must pay!!!!!!!!!! i say we bean him every time he comes to bat this year.
sometimes after bad injuries like this the player never comes back the same guy. i hope this wont be the case for lee. remember, the wrists are a batters best friends.
broken wrists often dont heal. i dont know how many times my dad told me that breaking his wrist ended his ambitions for a hockey career.
Moderately O.K.

i chipped my wrist when i dumped my first motorcycle. it healed fine. they thing i would be the most worried of for hockey are the knees. wrists important too but watch the knees. a good family friend had to pass on the NHL because of his knees. and from my hockey experience my knees saw the most damage

every high intensity sport is tough on the knees
every high intensity sport is tough on the knees
actually wrestling isn't very tough on your knees. not unless you're doing that professional(fake) leg spearing crap.

sure it is. all your power in wrestling is from your legs.

I heard they were saying he was going to be out for 10 weeks. Man, that collision looked painful.

sure it is. all your power in wrestling is from your legs.
Definatly all, or even most of the power. neutral position is rarely the primary position of any wrestling match, which is the only time you use your knees, most of the time it's your hips.
bar-half is both arms, with barely using your legs to push someone over
cradles are all arms just about, other than the leg cradle which all you do is lock your ankles together, no straining there.
bulldog is mostly arms
grandbys all you do is elevate your hips with your legs and flip
forrest rolls are arms with hip momentum
helicoptor is a double leg move, once your legs are in, you use momentum to swing over, nothing hard on the knees there.
gut wrenches all you do is stretch out your body
i could go on for paragraphs and paragraphs, some throws may be tough on your knees, but throws aren't as widely used as you'd think in greko wrestling, freestyle and folkstyle.
i was watchin the game when this happened, i started laughin my ass of

Maybe if the Cubs fan didn't support the Cubs as much as when they are loosing as when they are winning the Cubs would be forced to work harder on putting a good team on teh field. THe Cubs suck now, mostly because of horrible managment. They got lucky with Lee but they've destroyed two of the great arms of the past decade and hardly ever get anything else right.

Good thing he didn't have talent to go with those ambitions or he may have really had something to be sad over!
