View Full Version : map packs for cs source

go there for map packs for source, ill be playing them all today ill let you know, it seems pretty fun.
A: this doesnt help the beta at all. The point of a beta is to find bugs in the game.
B: all custom maps were made by using the hack HL2 game. So by using these maps you are supporting the stolen source code.
C: Valve does NOT support running custom maps and looks down apon doing so.

D: i don't give a ****. maybe valve shouldnt have ****ed over the won system by using their crappy, unstable steam instead.
i almost feel bad for downloading these maps. almost.
lol, its looked down upon?
who cares everyone is still going to buy the game everyone knows that. I just played bada_aztec2 and it was real fun. But valve looks down on me.

STEAM is far from unstable. Friends is another matter of course.. But I've had like.. 1 problem ever with Steam, on the first day.

Let em look down on me. CAW CAW CAW. I will still play the illegit maps. They should consider themselves lucky that I have purchased all of their official half life and related mods software so far. If they are lucky I will even buy HL2.

poor OOB. principles don't have much value these days...and VALVe isn't exactly a gamer-friendly company. it's all about money and let the best win...

the stolen alpha and the stolen source code are 2 different things.
and to support something doesnt money need to exchange hands or a promotion deal of some kind?

I like when valve checks for servers running the custom maps and then fks all the kids playing on it.

They have banned people for it before. They'll likely do it again.

The dedicated servers won't run any maps but de_dust, anyways. The only way to play these is to start the server yourself as a listen server.

no they havent and no they wont. an email from gabe himself said he frowned upon it, he didnt say they would ban people he just said it was unethical.
